Monday Morning
Hi friends,
It's monday morning and it's been busy so far today. 5:30am came early today :) and praise God we had water for a shower! I quickly got to the kitchen and made omelettes while Ju made coffee and toast and got Lucas and Luiza dressed. By 7:30 we were out the door to take Ju to work at the hospital. I then went to check the mail and then to buy a pump to install at the water main to pump water from the street pipes into our house reservior tanks.
It was a good experience buying the booster pump since about 20 minutes there was a language class. From there I went to check on a lead for home internet, and it turned out to be too costly. So, here I am at the internet communication center replying to some great notes from friends after our latest email newsletter. It's so encouraging to read the notes, get pictures from friends, and... one church told us that they want to start making plans for coming next year for an mission trip!
I have 20 minutes until I go to a meeting from 10:00 to 11:00 with a local businessman on getting his new computer set up, then off to our house to begin working on cooking lunch for us all. The afternoon should be filled with grocery shopping - it's very unlike going to Wal-Mart. A simple thing like napkins may take you to five stores :) It takes patience and determination to get 70% of the things that you set out to purchase.
The power just went off here so if it doesn't come back on in a minute I will not be able to post this to the internet, as I'm typing on my laptop on battery power. I do hope that it returns. I have several emails I've not read yet and really do want to read them today before leaving here.
I guess I will save this in a Word document and post it later. It gives you a look into a regular occurance. Challenges are the norm, that is what is expected. If I can go throughout the day realizing that if something I have on my list was accomplished then it was a success. I heard this guidance when we moved here that thought no way, besides I am an optimistic person and don't need to let this get to me. It's the truth though, you have to make your list and at the end of the day if you get one thing done then you rest that it that one thing got done. Life is very unpredictable, there is no 'off day' here, yet it's great to know that we are where God wants us to be.
In writing these things I want you to know that I'm not complaining at all. My desire is to take you a bit deeper into our lives here. Hey, they got a generator turned on... to I might can post this today. I have ten minutes before I leave here, so I'm happy to be able to get this posted and read a few more emails.
Thanks for your prayers, your encouragement, your support and your interest in being in this life with us. We are grateful.
